Yes, We are Alive!!

Just a couple quick pics of the girls...JUST IN CASE someone out there is still looking :)
Haley will be one this week on Wednesday. I can't believe how fast it goes. They have turned into quite the playmates..Emily still pushes Haley around quite a bit, but I'm guessing that won't be happening much longer.
I am busy, busy, busy with work this year so we try to cherish any time we get to just hang out as a family.

Emily got the chance to be a flower bearer for homecoming this past week at the high school assembly. She was nervous until she got to put the pretty dress on then she did great. She's started pre-school now, so she is really cracking us up with some of the things that come out of her mouth.
She is taking dance and gymnastics too, so she's a pretty busy girl.

Haley is on the move. She started walking right after she turned 10 months and she hasn't slowed down since! She will climb on anything she can and has absolutely no fear. Her nick name is now Sharky because she will chew on everything in sight..especially tables at restaurants :)
Happy fall to everyone! I hope to get pics up from Haley's 1st birthday and our upcoming trip to the pumpkin patch, but I'm not making any promises!

Happy Opening Day....and Easter too :)

We are so excited that spring is finally here! The end is in sight for tax season to be over...YIPPEE!
We have sure missed having dad around the last few months! His girls are definitely ready for some daddy-daughter time....with the Cardinals too of course :)

Haley is growing up so fast! She is close to sitting up on her own and she is definitely ready to be on the move. She still loves watching Emily and her face lights up with a smile every time she's around (well almost every time.)

Emily had a lot of fun this Easter. We decorated eggs this year for the first time.
Emily loved doing it, but of course the blue dye was the one to be spilled all over Emily. Fortunately she had a blue shirt on!

These egg hunt pictures are from her cousins' house. It was such a nice day! She loved every minute of it.

She was pretty proud of all the eggs she found.

Hakley didn't quite get it this year...but I'm sure we'll have a hard time keeping up with both of them next year.
Hope everyone had a great Easter!

Busy couple of Months

I know that it's been forever..I just can't find the time to blog anymore!

Since the last post, Emily had a birthday and Haley was baptized...

Here's Emily at her party...second year in a row at the museum! They do a great job.

Haley had her first taste of real food...I guess you can call it that :)

Emily had her first major accident..5 stitches!

She recovered and was really excited for...

Her first performance at Church!

Haley is getting to be a big girl! Who needs a bottle..bring on the sippy cup!
And finally our first glimpse of nice weather! The girls are definitely ready to be outside!
Haley's first swing ride!
Emily can't wait for summer!
Happy Spring everyone!

January 3's

Somehow we went from waiting for Santa to January..sorry I never got the Christmas pictures uploaded. Sometimes I don't know where the time goes.
Emily loved every minute of the holiday season this year. From Fred the elf, to decorating the tree, to going to see Santa to having Christmas four days in a row! She was so sad the day we took the tree down. She's still asking when Christmas is coming again...

Lucky for her it's birthday month and that has taken her mind off Christmas! I can't believe our little girl is going to be 3 in a couple of weeks. She is definitely full of personality!

Haley turned 3 months on January 6th. She is so smiley and laid back...except when she's hungry!

Em is a great big sister and Haley loves having her around to entertain her. I think Emily is finally getting used to sharing the spotlight with Haley too!

Best wishes for the new year to everyone!!

Waiting for Santa!

After all the stress and chaos of planning for the big day, it's finally here.
The girls are most definitely ready for the big guy to arrive!
Merry Christmas and safe travels to everyone!
Enjoy your family time time and cherish every moment!

December is here..and almost gone!

It has been quite the busy month! I can't believe how fast it's gone. We have definitely been staying busy. I went back to work 2 days a week. I thought that would mean I'd have a lot of extra time to get ready for the holidays...WRONG! I think I'm more behind this year than I've ever been....I promise, Christmas cards are coming :)
Mama and papa came for a couple of visits this month..of course the cold season is here so our girls got it! Thanks Mama and Papa for taking care of the girls!
Here Mama and Emily are making homemade play-dough.

We have been to quite a few Wesleyan basketball games and the season is just getting started. Emily still loves it! She has a cheerleader outfit she wears most of the time now.

Haley's not quite as excited about the games.

Here's our little smiley Haley! She's such a good baby. She was just relaxing watching mom wrap Christmas presents here.

Emily had a night out with mom and dad. We went to Chili's (her pick) for dinner. Yes..that is a bowl of ranch dressing in front of her. She may not look like mom, but she's definitely got some of mom in her!

Then we took her to Annie, the broadway show. She loved it! We couldn't get any pictures inside, but this is her as soon as the show was over. It was way past her bedtime!

Yes, the tradition continued this year even though Aunt Kristy couldn't make it up. Here's Em mixing up the cookie dough and Haley chilling in the background.

Grandma came in with Uncle Matt and cousin Jackson to help finish the cookie making! Don't they look like they're having fun :)

Then it was off to the traditional breakfast with Santa. Here are the girls before we left. Emily was so excited to go see Santa!

Here's Em and her best friend Emma coloring some pics while waiting for the big guy to arrive.

Emily changed her tune about Santa once he arrived.

This is her telling us she changed her mind and she's NOT sitting on his lap.

So, we comprimised and put Haley on his lap while Emily stood nearby. Santa reached out to touch her and she took off...maybe next year she'll like the ol' guy in the red suit :)

After Santa, the girls exchanged Christmas presents.

I forgot how excited Emily gets about everything!

Happy Holidays to everyone!

Time Is Flying By!!

Well, it is almost time for me to go back to work. I can't believe Haley is already 6 weeks old! Time has flown by. Luckily I am only going back part time until after the holidays.

We have had a lot of fun since I've been off work. Before the weather turned totally icky we went to the zoo with our good friends!

Emily Loved playing in the leaves!

Back at the homestead, Emily has been our source of entertainment...here is Em, Haley and Emily's baby doll working out on the baby mat :) Emily set this all up!

There has been a lot of dress up going on...no this was not her THIRD Halloween costume.

And lots of messes!!

While Haley just sits back and takes it all in.

Don't they look sweet?? In case you can't read Em's shirt, it says what Santa doesn't bring me for Christmas, grandma will. I think she's got them all figured out already.
